The Tyrannosaurus Rex

Say: Tie-RAN-oh-sore-us rex

Dinosaur Roar! is the BRAVE dinosaur. He is a big, green Tyrannosaurus rex with a powerful “roar”. He is very responsible, kind and heroic. He never backs away from a difficult situation. He dislikes bullies, unfairness and bad behaviour. He always acts to keep the peace and is very understanding. He is very protective of Dinosaur Squeak! and keeps a watchful eye on Dinosaur Snap! at all times.

The Ankylosaurus

Say: An-KIE-loh-SORE-us

Dinosaur Bash! is the BOISTEROUS dinosaur. He is a terracotta Ankylosaurus who is strong and sturdy with bony, protective armour on his back. He is very friendly and enthusiastic which can make the other dinosaurs nervous as he “bashes” his big tail on the ground when he is happy. He doesn’t know his own strength. He likes to play with the other dinosaurs but sometimes gets carried away.

The Diplodocus

Say: DIP-low-DOCK-us

Dinosaur Munch! is the GREEDY dinosaur. He is a big, blueDiplodocuswith a very long neck and a very long tail. He is constantly hungry and thinks about nothing but food. His focus is always on his next meal so he is often oblivious to what is going on around him. He will "munch" on anything he can find and uses his long neck to search both high and low for food.

DINOSAUR PLOD!

The Brachiosaurus

Say: BRACK-ee-uh-SAW-ruhs

Dinosaur Plod! is the SLOW dinosaur. She is a tall, pink Brachiosaurus with a very long neck. She is very slow and “plods’ along, taking her time to get where she is going. Her head is so far from the ground that she struggles to see what her feet are doing. Her greatest fear is to step on one of her smaller dinosaur friends so she moves very carefully. Whilst she might not see what is on the ground, she can see for miles as she is so tall which fascinates Dinosaur Squeak!

DINOSAUR CHEW!

The Iguanodon

Say: Ig-WAH-noh-don

Dinosaur Chew! is the LAZY dinosaur. He is a lilac Iguanodon with a beak and two thumb spikes. He is very lazy and prefers to lay in the sun, “chewing” his food and watching the world go by. He avoids any physical activity. He is carefree, very much a dreamer and never worries. He is always the last to know what is going on as he is usually dozing and misses everything.

The Parasaurolophus

Say: Pa-ra-saw-ROL-off-us

Dinosaur Honk! is the NOISY dinosaur. She is a fuchsia Parasaurolophus with a big crest on her head. who is bursting with confidence and loves to make loads and loads of noise. Her main goal in life is to have fun and she loves to show off and the be the centre of attention. She is lively, very sociable and can be quite theatrical. The other dinosaurs always know where she is as they can hear her loud “honk”.

The Coelophysis

Say: SEEL-OH-fie-sis

Dinosaur Whizz! is the FAST dinosaur. She is a red Coelophysis who is small and sleek with very long legs. She loves to run at an incredible speed leaving a trail of dust behind her as she “whizzes” past. She lives her life at a very fast pace, rushing at everything. She is impatient and gets frustrated if anything takes too long. She is very competitive and loves to race the other dinosaurs as she always wins!

The Carnotaurus

Say: Kar-noh-TORE-us

Dinosaur Thud! is the MEAN dinosaur. He is a grey Carnotaurus with two big horns on his head. He is a bully and thinks it is funny to chase the smaller dinosaurs. He is not a thinker and uses his size rather than his brain. He thinks that being big and strong is all that matters. He likes to show off his size by making the ground shake with the heavy “thud’ of his feet. He avoids any encounters with the larger dinosaurs as he knows they are bigger than him.

The Triceratops

Say: Tri-SERRA-tops

Dinosaur Stomp! is the GRUMPY dinosaur. He is a brown Triceratops with an enormous head and 3 horns. He likes to be alone and is happiest when not disturbed. He hates noise and chaos and finds the behaviour of the other dinosaurs exasperating. When he gets annoyed, he “stomps” his foot and goes off in a huff! He is very stubborn and set in his ways. He has a hidden soft spot for Dinosaur Squeak who understands him better than the other dinosaurs.

DINOSAUR SNAP!

The Spinosaurus

Say: SPINE-oh-SORE-us

Dinosaur Snap! is the SCARY dinosaur. He is a big, purple Spinosaurus with a long snout full of sharp teeth and a giant sail on his back. He likes to “snap” his jaws at the other dinosaurs to scare them. He is cunning and scheming but also a coward as he avoids physical confrontation. He spends most of his time plotting to capture Dinosaur Squeak and eat her! However, he never succeeds. His arch nemesis is Dinosaur Roar!, the only dinosaur that he is wary of.

DINOSAUR FLAP!

The Oviraptor

Say: OHV-ih-RAP-tor

Dinosaur Flap! is the NERVOUS dinosaur. She is a bright yellow Oviraptor with feathers and a crest on her head. She is very nervous and gets into a “flap”. She is always thinking that something bad is going to happen. She has a nest of eggs and is very protective of them. She exhausts herself by endlessly imagining an impending disaster and planning for the worst. Despite her nervousness, her need to protect her eggs often means that she rises to the occasion and can surprise herself.

The Stegosaurus

Say: STEG-oh-SORE-us

Dinosaur Whack! is the CLUMSY dinosaur. She is a turquoise Stegosaurus with two rows of plates on her back and a long tail with spikes on the end. She struggles to control her tail and often “whacks” things over or disrupts the other dinosaurs. This makes her very embarrassed. Her efforts often end in disaster and although she means well, she causes more problems than she solves.

The Deinonychus

Say: Die-NON-i-kuss

Dinosaur Boo! is the NAUGHTY dinosaur. He is an orange Deinonychus, covered with feathers with two very strong legs. He is mischievous and loves to play to tricks. He has bad judgement though and doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions. His efforts usually end in disaster due to his over confidence and bad timing. He loves to jump out with a characteristic “boo” which annoys the other dinosaurs. He often teases Dinosaur Squeak!

The Compsognathus

Say: Komp-sog-NATH-us

Dinosaur Squeak! is the SMALL dinosaur. She is a lime Compsognathus with a long pointy noise. She is inquisitive and fascinated by the world around her. She gets frustrated that the other dinosaurs do not notice her because of size. Her loudest “squeak” can often be missed. She is clever and nimble and is often underestimated. Squeak looks up to Dinosaur Roar and very much thinks of him as an older brother.
